Well, I’m three days into NaNoWriMo and almost 8,000 words into The Chanteuse. I just tucked in Chapter 3 and am going to take the rest of the evening off. Actually, it’s going to be rest with research. I plan on watching some sea-going movies for some background.
I didn’t do as much today on the story, because you have to make room for life even in a short-timed challenge. I attend my first meeting at Boise’s Silent Book Club. It was nice to meet new people with an interest in books and writing. I got a few ideas for books to read and an excellent venue for a future trip for breakfast and coffee. Deja Brew and Laugh a Latte in Meridian was a nice cozy place for the meeting.
I used the silent reading to dig further into one of the books I am currently reading Between Flesh and Steel. It’s a book on the history of military medicine. It’s a very interesting read and is going to come in handy for future writing projects, I’m sure.
Okay, I’m out of here for today. I will leave the Raven and Owl to the Lost Crusader and the Colonel for the rest of the day.
